Platinum looks just like silver imo

I dont get the whole buzz about platinum and dont understand why its worth more than gold. to me it looks just like silver and unless you are a jeweler or something how can you possibly tell the difference. maybe it holds a shine better or doesnt wear as easily but when i see people with wedding rings that are platinum or even white gold i immediately think SILVER lol.:D:eek::cool:

It's all relative. When Russians discovered platinum while mining for gold many ages ago, they would complain that this annoying metal was getting in the way of their gold mining.

As far as jewelry, the only main difference you will find between platinum & silver is platinum does not tarnish the way silver does. :cool:
